368 kW / 500 hp (493 bhp) at a low 5,250 rpm, a peak torque of 720 Nm (575 lb-ft) on tap from 1,800 rpm, a top speed electronically limited to 300 km/h (186 mph) and a sporty-elegant designer outfit: In the BRABUS B50-500 Coupe BRABUS presents a fascinating high-performance coupe based on the Mercedes E-Class.

The power of 500 horses from 4.7 liters displacement: The BRABUS engine specialists give the V8 Biturbo engine of the E 500 Coupe (US: E550) plenty of extra kick with the B50-500 PowerXtra CGI performance kit. For this purpose they install an auxiliary control unit with new mapping for injection, ignition and boost pressure control: An additional water radiator lowers the boost air temperature further. BRABUS recommends MOTUL high-performance lubricants.

The result is an increase in power output from standard 300 kW / 408 hp to 368 kW / 500 hp, already available at 5,250 rpm. At the same time peak torque grows from 600 Nm in standard trim to 720 Nm (442 to 531 lb-ft) for the BRABUS version.

In a test conducted by AUTO BILD SPORTSCARS magazine the BRABUS B50-500 Coupe proved its enormous potentials: From rest the two-door car accelerated to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds. A time of 13.3 seconds to 200 km/h (124 mph) demonstrate the superior power of the special model as clearly as the top speed limited by the BRABUS Vmax unit to 300 km/h (186 mph).

The BRABUS B50-500 PowerXtra CGI performance kit is available for all current Mercedes E 500 models. The BRABUS B50-500 Coupe is furthermore equipped with the BRABUS quad sport exhaust system, which is also available for production E 500 Coupes. A BRABUS limited-slip differential is available as an option for further improving traction and handling.

The high speeds so effortlessly attained by this sporty automobile naturally place high demands on the aerodynamic properties. To further optimize directional stability at high speed the BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement package developed in the wind tunnel is part of the standard equipment of the BRABUS B50-500.

The BRABUS front spoiler with integrated LED daytime running lights gives the coupe an even more striking front and minimizes lift on the front axle. The BRABUS rear spoiler and diffuser create a perfect aerodynamic balance in the rear.

BRABUS adds some sporty highlights when viewed from the side with the aluminum sport fenders with integrated inserts made from clear-coated carbon fiber. The side skirts lend the coupe a lower, sleeker stance. They also have LED entrance lights integrated into their underside that are activated by pulling on a door handle or with the keyless fob.

The enormous performance of the BRABUS B50-500 Coupe necessitates the use of special high-performance tires. To make full use of the top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) the 2+2-seater is fitted with BRABUS 19-inch wheels of the Monoblock VI, F, Q, R or S wheel designs. The wheels come in widths of 8.5 and 9.5 inches and are mounted with high-performance tires from technology partners Continental, Pirelli or YOKOHAMA in sizes 235/35 ZR 19 in front and 265/30 ZR 19 on the rear axle.

The height-adjustable BRABUS sports suspension offers sporty handling in conjunction with a high ride comfort. It was developed in cooperation with technology partner BILSTEIN.

BRABUS can also customize the cockpit to suit the individual owner’s taste. The lineup ranges from stainless-steel scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo and a speedometer with 330-km/h dial (205 mph) to aluminum steering-wheel shift paddles and a completely new interior design crafted from especially soft and durable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara. Sporty details such as an aluminum shift knob and pedals add a custom note as do carbon-fiber or wood trim sets in countless different versions.
