Everybody's rather impacient by now, as Mercedes-Benz keeps postponing the release of any official images and specifications for its eagerly awaited new generation S-Class high luxury flagship. FEP prototypes have been since since summer 2012 and the exterior camouflage is slowly pilled off revealing more details from underneath. The latest spy shots were captured in Sweden, where the model is undergoing the final stage of the cold weather street testing programme.

It is clearly visible the new S-Class will display a mindblowing stance. The centrepiece of the newly designed front end will be large lamella chromed grille, a traditional symbol of any upscale Mercedes-Benz premium model and a reminiscence from legendary ancestors of the 1950s and 1960s. The new full LED headlights with their impressive inner graphics will also attract a lot of curious eyes. The profile, as seen in the latest scoops, will be extremely sleek and elegant, so we are expecting top marks in the aerodynamics departments as well. The rear fascia will further highlight the car's upscale status, also being a logical evolution of the current design seen on the W 221 S-Class.

All in all, the new S-Class will build on its solid heritage - evolution and refinement in terms of styling. The real revolution will be the technical and technological upgrades the W 222 brings to the industry. When unveiled, the high-end limousine will already be world's most intelligent and advanced automobile.
