We were fearing the story would end up in such way, but this is the pure reality and we have to face it. We were wrong about the test mule we've shown you on Tuesday and tipped it as the 2015 SLC AMG supercar. That vehicle was nothing more than just FEP prototype of the forthcoming SLS AMG Black Series, slated for a late 2012 debut and an early 2013 sales start. We publicly apologize our readers for offering a false news and we would like to ensure that such regrettable errors will not repeat in our future articles.

Sticking to the SLS AMG Black Series, the specially tuned supercar from Affalterbach will display an aerodynamically-developed wide body, which is designed to improve air flow, air cooling and overall performance. It is important to mention the car is stripped off many useless and inconvenient components so that the peak weight gets substantially lower compared to the standard SLS AMG. Moreso, the kit does not add kilograms to the car, as it is cast out from lightweight materials (basically carbon fiber reinforced plastics). The aluminium structure of the chassis further helps to reduce the total mass of the vehicle and thus enhance dynamics. In addition, AMG will equip this limited series sports car with a modified suspension and new ride assistance technologies, tweaked to deliver hardcore sensation behind the wheel.

The SLS AMG Black Series remains loyal to the high-revving 6.3-litre naturally-aspirated V8 powerplant. Through some serious engine modifications eyeing the cylinder management, the fuel injection and the exhaust system, the top output reaches around 650-660 hp, while the maximum torque figure should indicate near 700 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h could take less than 3.8 seconds, whereas high-end speed could indicate at least 330 km/h, with no electronical limitations whatsoever.
