On June 8, the UEFA Euro 2012 host city of Warsaw, Poland receives the national football team of Greece. Already days before the official kickoff of the 2012 European Championship in Poland and Ukraine, the first team coaches were already in use in their distinctive UEFA's design. Among other things, the German team travelled in a comfortable SETRA ComfortClass 400 coach to its UEFA Euro 2012 camp organized in Gdansk for the first public training, where 11 000 thrilled spectators were waiting for their live performance.

A total of 40 SETRA coaches from the TopClass 400 and ComfortClass 400 lineups will be used during the three-week tournament for the carriage of the teams, as well as for the transport of the officials and their guests. Responsible for the organization is a consortium consisting of three bus-operating companies that have decided, in consultation with the European football association, in favour of the buses produced at Neu-Ulm, Germany, based on their demonstrated quality and safety levels. After the grand finale on 1 July in Kiev, the vehicles will be added to the fleet of the respective bus companies. One fact is already certain: this European championship title goes to SETRA.

Two months before the start of the UEFA Euro 2012 competition, the 40 buses were handed over to the 16 participating teams at the Setra Customer Center. The drivers had been previously trained in a two-day training programme in the areas of safety, efficiency and skill.

The matches of the UEFA Euro 2012 will take place in the Polish football stadiums of Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw and Gdansk, and in the Ukrainian stadiums of Kiev, Donetsk, Lviv and Kharkiv.
