Just 22 days left and the new S-Class will be officially revealed at Hamburg. Close, but still not cigar. The reaction after the leaked photos showcasing a completely uncamo-ed series car was simply overwhelming across the internet. We feel you wouldn't mind seeing a new bunch of latest spy shots, in which the S-Class AMG Sport prototype wears minimal exterior cladding.

The new S-Class under the 222 model generation will be company's most technologically advanced automobile in history. Everything got even more digitalized and sharpened, in sheer elegant style. An icon of great Mercedes design - progressive, classic, yet even more inspiring and radically different from its ancestors. This S-Class, as those preceding, will never fail and never seize to amaze everybody.

Comfort level has been raised to new heights with the new luxury concept of the interior. Dynamics have never been sharper - the new MAGIC RIDE CONTROL, MAGIC BODY CONTROL and the newly engineered Mercedes Rearwheel Architecture (MRA) are the ultimate trendsetters of the segment.

Intuitive use, friendliness and social connections have become a piece of cake with the outstanding new generation of the COMAND Online, which from MY2015 (meaning summer of 2014) also gets a multifunctional touchpad and a helping Head Up Display, a first for a Mercedes-Benz.

The new S-Class will be world's safest place to be in with the help of multiple investments in developing the perfect active and passenger safety measures. Efficiency is also one of the many strong points of the new flagship from Stuttgart: from I4 to V12 (S 600 from MY2015) going through V6 and V8 and experimenting with diesel, petrol and plug-in hybrid technologies.

At the launch, the range-topping S 500 will receive Merc's 4.7-litre 8-cylinder twin-turbo engine producing 435 hp. From December 2013, the output of the V8 unit will increase to 455 hp. Furthermore, at the start of sales, Mercedes-Benz will offer the S-Class in other two new variants: the S 350 BlueTEC with 252 hp and the S 400 HYBRID with 326 hp. In the next two to three years, the new S-Class will also receive a brand new lighting technology based on laser. This technology has already been previewed on the Concept GLA showcar.

SPY: The 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Limousine (W 205) caught bare skin near Arctic Circle

The new C-Class Limousine is slated for world premiere in January next year at NAIAS Detroit. Although there's more than half a year left till we see the final product, spy photographers deployed in Northern Scandinavia caught a totally uncamouflaged W 205 pre-series prototype doing some development on a frozen, snow-covered test track.

Even though photographed from distance, the white-coloured limousine showcase an elegant and rather simple silhouette, with a visibly longer wheelbase and several elements that remind of the new S-Class. In fact, the mini-S design was shaping as a certainty for the new C-Class starting with FEP, when the test vehicles for the W 205 generation have lost the heavy cladding.

While to most it may not look impressive enough, the pictured C-Class pre-series car is most likely the standard low-entry model, given the traditional headlight technology and the lack of LED projectors, that has received the Avantgarde treatment in the form of the Star grille with two louvres. We are sure the finished vehicle will look outstanding when unveiled.

Start of sales will happen during spring 2014, with the main production headquartered at the Bremen plant in Germany and additional volumes for emerging markets to be assembled at the facilities from Tuscaloosa (USA), East London (South Africa) and Beijing (China).

SPY: The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Cabriolet (A 205) reappears in Stuttgart

Mercedes-Benz will add a new member to the future C-Class family as the cabriolet choice will join the "army" from late 2014. The street development phase for the A 205 model has just begun scarcely a month ago, with the first prototype being captured on tape in Stuttgart. The newest spy shots are coming from the "capital city" of Mercedes-Benz as well.

The new C-Class Cabriolet will be the first mid-sized convertible in the history of the brand. As there is no predecessor to the open-top, the job Mercedes-Benz engineers need to complete is an even harder challenge, because there is no room for error in an industry packed with many similar eager competitors.

The A 205 is expected to feature the all new Mercedes-Benz Rearwheel Architecture (MRA), which means overall length should be somewhere near 4.70 - 4.75 meters, exactly like the limousine version. The updated powertrain will further enhance ride comfort and dynamics, a category where the future C-Cabriolet must simply excell in order to appeal to as many customers as possible. In order to stay as light as possible, the new C-Class Cabriolet will receive a classic soft top, in addition to the extensive use of aluminium and alloy compounds for the construction of the chassis and bodywork.

All the engines fitted underneath the front hood will be entirely newly developed for maximum efficiency and performance. The list comprises units will peak displacement ranging from 2.0 up to 4.0 litres. The entry-level C 200 BlueEFFICIENCY produces 184 hp, the C 250 BlueEFFICIENCY reaches 211 hp, whereas the C 300 BlueEFFICIENCY boasts 252 hp and the range-topping V6-powered C 400 stops at 333 hp. The C 55 AMG model is set to arrive during summer 2015 and should be powered by a new 4.0-litre 8-cylinder petrol engine equipped with twin-turbocharging and direct injection rated at around 465 hp. Some hybrid variants are also possible from 2015 onwards, according to latest reports.

SPY: The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet (A 205) - premiere scoops

Protected by Copyscape Plagiarism Detection
Mercedes-Benz plans to add an all new member to the future C-Class family. After the 204 model series got its 2-door Coupe on the facelift occassion, an open-top choice will join the current three-model portfolio next year when the 205 generation is set to come into force.

The first version to premiere is the new C-Class Limousine, expected to be officially presented in early 2014. Through spring, the wagon T-Modell under the S 205 codename is bound to arrive, while the new Coupe (C 205) is slated to showcase during the second semester of next year. Towards late 2014, right in time for the hot season of 2015, the all new C-Class Cabrio (A 205) will celebrate its world premiere.

The first-ever convertible C-Class in history has been lately spotted by spy photographers in the yard of the Mercedes-Benz R&D Center in Stuttgart. The car will emphasize Merc's brand new styling philosophy. A progressive exterior design will ensure the desired sportiness, dynamism and appeal levels are met, while also staying stlightly different compared to the standard W 205/S 205. As it is early to draw some conclusions over the looks given the heavy cladding on the pictured test prototype, we shall reserve those for later.

The length of the new C-Class Cabriolet will reach 4.7 meters, so this means plenty of space for some well-handled, balanced and sleek proportions. It is unclear whether the A 205 model will use a classic retractable cloth roof or go instead for a roadster-like hardtop just such as the SLK and SL do. From what we can see in these spy shots, there is enough room in the back to house a folding tin roof thanks to the visibly generous third volume. So, odds are in favour of this modern solution.

Similar to its open-top relatives, the C-Class Cabriolet will also use the innovative AIRSCARF neck-heating system, the AIRCAP draught-stop solution and the MAGIC VISION CONTROL wiper washer technology to further enhance the driving pleasure and passenger comfort while the roof is down even in winter.

The engines and entire technological package will be shared with its brothers from the 205 family. The entry-level choice starts at 156 hp, while the range-topping C 400 Cabriolet boasts 333 hp and the new 3.0-litre V6 BlueDIRECT engine featuring state-of-the-art turbocharging, direct injection and ECO start/stop function. Clean BlueTEC variants are also expected to make up most of the diesel range for the new A 205. During 2015, the ground-breaking C 55 AMG Cabrio will complete the lineup sporting an entirely newly-developed 4.0-litre V8 with biturbocharging cranking out near 470 hp.

SPY: The 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG (X 156) spotted near Nürburgring

Mercedes-Benz will premiere its fourth premium compact class model this autumn: the GLA arrives in serial production form at the IAA Frankfurt, after the concept car is unveiled next month at Shanghai. The Cross Activity Vehicle, as it is entitled by the constructor, is intended to be a lifestyle crossover with SUV visual attributes and enhanced dynamics. The AMG model follows in spring 2014.

The latest spy photos featuring the GLA 45 AMG were shot near the Nürburgring track, where the sports crossover was heading for some high-speed tweaking. Compared to the standard version, the Affalterbach-prepped GLA-Class is set apart by the revised exterior package, which includes the specific front bumper with generous air inlets, the lowered clearance (through the high-performance suspension system), bespoke alloy wheels with large diameter and outrageous quad exhaust pipes.

The new GLA 45 AMG completes the new compact model portfolio by joining the A 45 AMG and CLA 45 AMG. The car runs on a front-biased 4x4 powertrain (67:33) which works together with M133 2.0-litre 360 hp unit and the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox to deliver an outstanding level of performance. The AMG RIDE CONTROL, the 3-stage ESP and the specially tuned components and system of the new model further improve dynamics and safety aboard the GLA 45 AMG.
