Mercedes-Benz engines are among the most reliable, UK study shows

Warranty Direct, a British-headquartered insurance company, has recently published a list comprising the most and the least reliable brands when its comes to engine failures on used, second-hand cars. Mercedes-Benz is in the upper part of the standings, whereas direct rivals such as BMW or Audi only fall short of the last places.

To be precise, the study was conducted based on the whole experience of the company in the United Kingdom in the previous year. According to the results, only one in 119 powerplants equipping a pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicle should have technical problems, which automatically leads to a rate of defects of 0.84 % - enough for the German brand to secure the third position in the final rankings.
