For weeks now the racing drivers have been working to improve their physical fitness, testing the latest evolutionary stages of their racing cars and gearing themselves up mentally for exciting duels. The fans, too, can now prepare for the new season – with the Mercedes-Benz Motorsports Selection 2013, which comprises many new products.Carbon fibre is the common feature of several exclusive accessories for motorsport fans this season. They include two watches with a carbon-fibre face and stainless steel case: a chronograph (259.90 euros [1]) and a three-hand watch (149.90 euros), each in a limited edition of 1000. Carbon fibre also plays a part in the other new products and features: the lighter (59.90 euros), the bottle opener (19.90 euros) and the key ring (49.90 euros) have a carbon-fibre surface on their front side. All five articles sport an engraved Mercedes-Benz Motorsport logo as well as a three-dimensional Mercedes star.
The F1 Silver Arrow dynamically cornering on the kerbs is the common pictorial theme on the beach blanket (34.90 euros), iPhone® case (14.90 euros) and drinking bottle (29.90 euros). Other new products include a helmet-shaped USB stick with a storage capacity of 8 GB (29.90 euros), a coolbag (29.90 euros) and a men's cap (23.90 euros). The wooden balance bike for children (129.90 euros) uses the colour scheme of the Formula 1 car, showing the characteristic progression from silver to petronas green to black.
The Formula 1 offering, of course, again includes the popular caps, both in the versions of drivers Hamilton and Rosberg and in the team version (29.90 euros each) – made by PUMA. Formula 1 fans can choose between Hamilton and Rosberg when they buy the shirt, too (49.90 euros each). Alternatively there is a team polo shirt (69.90 euros). For the first time the range includes a polo shirt for women (64.90 euros) and a T-shirt for children (39.90 euros). Both items are manufactured by partner PUMA from 100 percent cotton. The printed MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS logo and the Mercedes-Benz logo adorn the dark grey shirts. Also new in the PUMA lifestyle product range are a black polo shirt (64.90 euros) and a black crumple look jacket (159.90 euros).
For the DTM fans of Mercedes-Benz the DTM cap (23.90 euros), the DTM polo shirt (49.90 euros) made of 100 percent cotton piqué and the DTM lanyard (14.90 euros) are new. An embroidered Mercedes-Benz AMG DTM team logo adorns them for the first time.
